Ron Collins - Pattern Alterations and Body Measurements for the Right Fit - Nov

In this hands-on workshop, you will learn how to identify fitting problems and how to solve them. Ron will show you how to raise and lower bust fullness in a princess seam, how to add in a dart when a pattern requires one, and how to move a horizontal underarm dart to a vertical waist dart. You will also learn expert pant alterations for knock and bowed legs, full and protruding seat, flat seat, and many more.
To help you perfect your alterations, we will take 28 body measurements for you, including: high bust, low bust, shoulder width, sleeve length, back waist length, pant and skirt length, plus more.
SKILL LEVEL - Participants must have a foundation of basic sewing knowledge

CLASS + EVENT POLICIES
- Full payment is required at the time of registration to reserve your place in the class or event.
- In order to make our classes run smoothly for the shop, the instructors, and fellow participants, please notify us in writing by email if you are unable to attend.
- We require a minimum of 1 week notice to cancel, and refunds will be issued by store credit as follows:1 week notice or more prior to first class = full refund issued as store credit, to be used on future classes or merchandiseLess than 1 week notice = 50% refund issued as store credit48 hours notice or less = no refund, no store credit
- Late arrivals, missed sessions, or no-shows are not eligible for a refund or credit.
- If we need to cancel due to low enrolment or any other reason, we will provide a minimum of 3 days notice and offer a refund or transfer to another class.
ACCESSIBILITY
Our beautiful classroom space is located on the second floor of a heritage building, and is unfortunately only accessible by stairs. We are happy to assist you up to the second floor.
