Now Hiring: Digital Marketing + Customer Service Expert
The Cloth Shop is a small fabric store located on Granville Island, specializing in beautiful, quality quilting fabrics, quilt kits, and quilting and sewing classes. The Cloth Shop has been in operation for over 40 years and has recently changed ownership. It’s an exciting time to join our team as we move into the next iteration of The Cloth Shop. We are looking for an enthusiastic team member to bring The Cloth Shop experience to our online customers.
Basic Tasks:
- Assist with keeping our website up to date with the latest products, news, and store details. Website optimization
- Identify target markets and develop digital marketing plans for multiple channels
- Plan, create, and publish content for social media, email newsletters, and our website.
- Plan and execute SEO, SEM and content strategies to improve visibility and search rankings
- Track and evaluate site activity and marketing results through platforms such as Google Analytics
Candidate will also be expected to work in the shop and support the retail team, with the idea of bringing our in-store experience to our online customers. Retail tasks include:
- Greet and assist customers with fabric selection in a friendly and knowledgeable manner.
- Cut, prepare, and package online orders.
- Cut, fold, and package fabric bundles and kits.
- Help create in-store displays.
- Complete light cleaning duties.
- Other administrative duties, as required.
Requirements:
- Experience with social media management and digital marketing (Instagram, Facebook, email marketing, Pinterest).
- Experience with Shopify and/or e-commerce platforms.
- Experience with digital photography and basic graphic design (Canva or Adobe Illustrator).
- Sewing experience.
-Teamwork approach, flexibility, and ability to work independently.
- Attention to detail, organized.
- Creative, strong writing skills
- Adaptability to new technologies & trends

Hours:
28 to 35 hours per week
