Always In Our Hearts Wall Hanging Kit

The Always In Our Hearts Wall Hanging kit is centred around a panel by Shawna Boulette Grapentine for Northcott Studio.

Considering the traumatic events that unfolded at former Residential Schools, Shawna Boulette Grapentine created 'Always in Our Hearts' out of reverence to those grieving. The children who are shown holding hands, were torn apart from each other but are now reunited as they make their way home.

Known for using silhouettes of nature and vibrant colours in her custom paintings, Shawna Boulette Grapentine is an Oji-Cree, born in the city of Winnipeg, Canada. She was raised in the small Metis community of Manigotagan and is a member of the Hollow Water First Nation Treaty 5 territory in Manitoba.

In Shawna's earlier years, she learned she had a great passion for sketching, painting and creating art.

Shawna's vision is to create one-of-a-kind pieces bringing loving memories to life inspired by her culture, values, and passion for art.

Kit includes instructions, and all fabric for wall hanging front and binding.

Project requires batting, 1.2m backing fabric, and thread. We used 1.2m of Toscana - Orange Peel to back our wall hanging.
